Personality: Kira is a loud and funny individual. He always speaks when it is not unnecessary and doesnt always think before he acts. He always speaks on whatever is on his mind, either if it is right or wrong.
He's always trying to improve himself, by both researching new techniques as well as training in physical combat. And for some reason he always seems serious and lost in thought. But that however doesn't mean he's not thinking about something else rather than training.
Although loyal to his clan and village he doesn't always approve of some decisions the higher-ups take. It's because of this that he has a rebellious attitude towards most figures of authority. Still, he would never do anything that would endanger his kinsmen
Appearance: Bio: Kira was born into a military family. His father, Tetsuya, was a military officer while his mother, Kureha, helped supply the forces. For the first part of his life, Kira didn't even know his dad. The man was out fighting, for reasons Kira didn't know nor care to know. All he cared about was the fact that his father was gone. His mother took care of him as much as she could by herself, but it got harder and harder on the woman, whose heart longed for the return of her loving husband. Kira spent years waiting for word of the man, while the anger built. He constantly got in trouble with the guards, who caught him fighting with the various townsfolk who tried to insult him for growing up without a father, while their own fathers had become great Shinobi. His mother tried to get him to calm his emotions and try to put aside the heartache, but he just couldn't.
Finally, he awoke to hear a voice that he had never heard before. He walked downstairs to find a man in a military uniform embracing his crying mother. He had never seen the man in his life but he instantly knew that it was his father. The two began to get acquainted for the first time in Kira's life, and they soon became inseparable. The man always asked what Kira was going to do with his life, and all Kira could say was that he wanted to defend... just like his dad. This didn't set well with the father, of course. Hayate had seen the horrors of war, the violent truth of combat. However, his son reminded him of himself when he was that age, eager to fight and eager to protect those he cared about. He knew that the fire within his son was too intense to quell, so he decided not to even try to convince his son against being a fighter. Instead, he did the next best thing that he could think of. He got in contact with various soldiers that he had fought with, and they agreed to help train the boy for the obvious next step... the Shinobi Academy.
Kira's father sent him with the men at age eleven. For the next year, they trained him in the arts of stealth, observation, analysis, and other crucial militaristic skills that would without a doubt come in handy in the future. He excelled in the training, but there was a problem. His physical strength just wasn't that great. Instead, he was exceptionally fast and agile for his age. They decided to help make him even faster while trying to build the physical strength up to normal standards.
The time finally came. He was released from their scout training at age 12 and was sent to the Academy to learn the way of the Shinobi...
Acadamy Arc:
He wasted no time in joining the Academy, though that wasn't all that unusual in the Yamamoto Clan. For that matter Kira proved himself as the most louadmouth student as his teachers later stated. His goofiness almost made himself expelled. But still, his thirst for knowledge and techniques seemed insatiable. Not in the power-hungry kind of way though. No, it was more of an honest curiosity actually. It was also during his Academy years that Kira truly started analyzing the pros and cons between the three main fighting types. He knew his clan favored ninjutsu and to a lesser extent taijutsu. Because of this it was ninjutsu that he excelled at upon graduation a couple of years later.
Genin Arc: As a Genin, Kira was thrust right into the field of battle. Only hours after completely a rather... odd... Kira's village was attacked, by the missing-ninja of the Rain.
Kira's squad, announced during the attack, was launched, wet behind the ears and in over their heads. They survived, however. What's more they succeeded in engaging the elite missing-nin of the Rain in pitched battle, with the aid of other ninjas.
But the battle was fierce, half the village was destroyed. This troubled Kira, and much of the populous of the Kohona. Kira vowed to become stronger, and stronger he became.
With his comrades and without, he took on missions across the country, and when the time came, he joined a new squad, chosen by his sensei Itahase Ken, for the chuunin exams.
The battles were hard, and Kira found himself forced to face one of his own comrades in fierce combat. He defeated her, and moved on to face another comrade, but still he rose to the finals of the exam.
Though he chose to offer his foe a draw in favor of a shared championship, it was clear to many he had won the odd final.
When he had recovered from the fight, his sensei had a chuunin jacket all nice for him to wear, as he was proud to be wearing it.
